2022 International Tournament
NOVILLO BASS CLUB, A.C. invites all sports fishermen to our annual bass fishing tournament at lake General Plutarco Elias Calles “El Novillo” in the county of San Pedro de la Cueva, Sonora on april 29, 30 & may 1st of 2022 according to the following format of competition.
- This tournament will be held in two categories by teams which will be Master and Open so that fishermen will register according to their level of competition either sportsmen or recreational to fish for two consecutive days.
- The Master category will be in teams of 1 or 2 fishermen to capture 5 fish per day and will win the team with the highest total weight of the two days.
- The Open category will be in teams of 1 to 4 fishermen to capture 2 fish per day and will win the team with the highest total weight of the two days.
- Any fisherman can participate in the Master Category abiding by all the rules of the tournament.
- To participate in the Open Category a fisherman must not have any wins in first, second or third place in previous tournaments and no participation in qualifying circuits to represent their state in national or international competitions abiding by all the rules of the tournament.
- It is the responsibility of each team to present their catches alive to the weighing station. After that it is the responsibility of the organization committee who will release them back to the lake.
- The catches of the day will be registered by one of the members of the team, therefore only one of then will be allowed in the weighing area.
- The scale judge will give to the member of the team a ticket with the amount of bass weighted, the team number, the day and time, together with the total weights and number of bass. It is the responsibility of that member to check at that moment that all the information is correct.
- The organization committee will strive to keep the order and discipline during the tournament, as well as the respect between all participants. Any conduct that alters these precepts will be considered a grave fault, and will merit the immediate expulsion from the competition.
- Any situation not considered in this rules will be turned to the event judges, so they can decide on the issue, and their decision will be final.
- Any appeal will be done in writing with a deposit of $500.00 (five hundred pesos 00/100 m.n.) which will be resolved by the organization committee and the decision will be final. The deposit will be reimbursed only in case of a favorable result. The end time for any appeal is right before we start with the award ceremony.
